Bio-Formats is OME software developed by UW-Madison LOCI and Glencoe Software.

The library is written by Melissa Linkert and Curtis Rueden, with frequent contributions from Chris Allan and Brian Loranger, and past contributions from Eric Kjellman. Other contributors include Ghislain Bonamy, Thomas Caswell, John Hansen, Greg Jefferis, Jim Paris and Johannes Schindelin.
