Graduate Researcher

I’m a UW-Madison Biomedical Engineering graduate student completing my PhD research at LOCI.  We are working on optical approaches such as CAMM (a custom semi-automated second harmonic generation imaging system), and software such as ct-FIRE and CurveAlign to detect collagen fiber characteristics and alignment with respect to the tumor cell boundary. These Tumor Associated Collagen Signatures (TACS) are a important candidate biomarker of breast cancer progression. I’m also a WiscScan developer at LOCI, which is acquisition software for controlling many types of laser scanning systems at LOCI including CAMM.
