"Serial block face scanning electron microscopy and reconstructing neural networks"

Dr. Kevin L Briggman, Director at the Research Institute Caesar and Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research will give a lecture Noon-1pm at 1335 Health Sciences Learning Center (note special location) on Wednesday September 26th as part of the Neuroscience Seminar Series. Together with Dr. Winfried Denk at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research Dr. Briggman has pioneered the technique of serial block face scanning electron microscopy to reconstruct connectivity of large ensembles of retinal neurons and correlating this to functional properties of these neurons.

This lecture is organized and sponsored by the Mrinalini Hoon and Raunak Sinha labs. It is co-sponsored by the Morgridge Multiscale Imaging initiative
